Twin Falls
Pickens County, South Carolina
About This Waterfall
Twin Falls is a spectacular double waterfall where Reedy Cove Creek splits around a massive rock island and plunges 75 feet on the left side in a dramatic free-fall and 45 feet on the right in a sliding cascade. The two falls reunite in several large pools at the base. The side-by-side display set within the lush Eastatoe Valley is one of the most beautiful scenes in upstate South Carolina.
The easy 0.3-mile trail from the parking area follows a flat, well-worn path alongside the creek to an observation deck at the base of the falls. A second trail built in 2008 provides a 2.3-mile out-and-back route to the top of the falls. The property is maintained by the Felburn Foundation as a nature preserve.
The falls run best in spring after rainfall. The preserve-like setting keeps the area well-maintained and peaceful. The observation deck provides an excellent front-row view of both falls simultaneously. This is one of the most visually striking waterfalls in the Carolinas.
