Dukes Creek Falls
White County, Georgia
About This Waterfall
Dukes Creek Falls is a dramatic 150-foot multi-tiered waterfall in the Chattahoochee National Forest near Helen, Georgia. Dukes Creek and Davis Creek converge here, creating an exceptionally scenic display as water tumbles down a steep mountainside through multiple cascading drops. Large wooden viewing platforms along the trail offer stunning perspectives of the falls from across a deep ravine.
The 2.3-mile out-and-back trail descends through a beautiful mountain stream-filled forest with excellent canopy cover. Multiple viewing platforms at different elevations provide varied perspectives of the falls and surrounding gorge. The trail has moderate elevation change with well-built stairs in the steeper sections.
Spring runoff creates the most impressive flow. Fall color along the Richard Russell Scenic Highway, which provides access to the trailhead, is outstanding. A $4 day-use parking fee applies. This is one of the best-maintained waterfall trails in North Georgia.
